Event Overview
Sustainability Innovation Week (SIW24) is Saudi Arabia's flagship sustainability event focused on the role of scientific and technological innovation in advancing humanity towards a sustainable and resilient future. The inaugural event will take place from December 9th-11th, 2024, alongside UNCCD COP16 in Riyadh.
Hosted by the Research, Development & Innovation Authority and the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, SIW24 will unveil Saudi Arabia’s vision for Sustainability & Essential Needs and feature the public launch of two of the Kingdom’s National Missions focused on achieving food and water security.
SIW24 will bridge global and local innovation ecosystems, featuring keynote speakers, technology showcases, scientific awards & challenges, and expert panels with sustainability champions and innovators from across the globe.
Call for Papers
The Sustainability Innovation Week conference call for papers is seeking submissions related to the following conference themes:
- Irrigation and water management
- Soil amendments for water retention
- Protected agriculture and controlled environment
- Desalinated water for agriculture
- Water-efficient and drought-resistant crops
- Saline-resistant crops
- Brine mining
- Advanced pretreatment for desalination
- Membrane materials
- Solvent extraction desalination
- Rain and stormwater harvesting
- Aquaculture
- Reproduction & Breeding
- Innovative Seeding
Submitted abstracts will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee for oral presentation or poster during the Sustainability Innovation Week in Riyadh from December 9th-11th, 2024.
All submissions should report original research results.
